let's start our health journey

Updated: Feb 27, 2024

Want to kick start your health, or make changes and don't know where to start? Have you tried the 'Circle of Life' tool? It's a great starting point when trying to figure out what parts of your life are holding you back from achieving your health goals. It's a simple & effective holistic health tool that will help assess key areas of your life that impact on your health. There's lots of versions out there but, I like the IIN Circle of Life because its comprehensive.

It outlines 12 key areas of your life known as 'primary foods', which are parts of your life 'off your plate' that have the capacity to nourish or deprive you of good health. It really is a life changing concept and will change your life. It did for me.

To complete this tool you will need to place a dot on each section, the closer the dot is placed towards the centre the less satisfaction you have with this area of your life. Whilst a dot placed towards the edge of the circle indicates greater satisfaction.

Now before completing this tool make sure, you've allocated 5-10mins to yourself as you may need time to reflect on some areas of your life that you hadn't considered impact on your health. You may also be surprised with what it reveals to you, I know I was.

Finally, your Circle of Life is unique to you (that is *bio-individual) it wont be the same as someone else and changing as you grow & change. It's a great lifelong tool to re-visit to bring back balance to your life when you need.

*Bio-individuality is the idea that we are all different and there is no one size fits all approach when it comes to health. Each person has their own specific nutrition & health needs, as well as routines, practices, and preferences that work for them.
